Preparing ferrets for the hunt with JF

The Ferret School is the first of its kind at a hotel. Ferrets have been domesticated in Britain
since as early as the thirteenth century – originally for hunting rabbits, and eventually
for winning hearts with their charming personalities.

Training the gun dogs with Jenny
Friday

Gundogs have been part of Scotland’s shooting heritage for centuries. During this
xperience, you’ll have the chance to work hands-on with one of Gleneagles’ beautiful dogs,
guided by their expert instructors.

Shooting the clay pigeons with JF

A timeless British countryside classic – precision, focus, and concentration. Take aim at
clay teal, pheasant, hare, and pigeons at Gleneagles’ world-class Shooting School,
guided by experienced instructors.

This activity takes place immediately before the Welcome Dinner,
so please attend already dressed in your Welcome Dinner outfit.

Mastering falconry with JF
Saturday
10:00 - 11:00 (up to 30 people)
A truly unforgettable experience. Enjoy a fascinating demonstration before learning
how to handle and fly Gleneagles’ magnificent birds of prey. Get up close with hawks,
falcons, and eagles in this one-of-a-kind setting.
This activity is especially ideal for guests arriving late on Friday or on Saturday.
